People on forums...

Post by Joben727 »

What is with people on forums, they just try to correct every single person.
New players come on the forums, yes they post some pointless topics to help find things, seriously what people are doing will make people not want to post on forums, like me, i dont really like people being sarcastic towards new players saying they should know things when its their first few posts.
I just think people need to be a hell of a lot more laid back, everyone seems to be grumpy over the forums and always trying to prove someone wrong, people have opinions no one can change that.

I will probably get hate on this topic, but what the hell, just think you should all know.

This should be in the off-topic section.

FU JOBEN

Ikeed Ikeed, kinda agree with you, however I'm guilty as charged myself, sometimes being an asshole gives me satisfaction I suppose, and it helps me overcome my lack of selfconfidence irl (lol). :)

If this will change a single person's attitude on the forums however I think you should be pleased, but dont count on it, cause there's been topics like this before..

simple question though.
if there is a field with 100 signs posted around it with the message "MINEFIELD!".
How many people would walk onto the field?

This form has very clear "rules", and there are 100+ examples of people doing the wrong thing. Is it still acceptable for people to make the mistake that 100 people made before them?
I always try to be polite but at the same time point out what they should have done, if no-one points out the mistakes then this forum might as well be one big section without a search function.

Most people act that way because most new people don't use common sense. If you are trying to do something, won't you search to try and find it first? Almost everyone just posts a new topic asking the same thing that tons have before.

There are also stickied topics at the top of every forum with common stuff, which people just disregard I guess.

@T4IS3R(WTF is up with that name?)
Have you ever tried walking down a random street asking random people to do a job for you? I doubt it.
most people would look at you like you're crazy and then walk away.

On the internet we have become so accustomed to people not using common sense, to the point where we actually have to defend ourselves for pace-palming at those people.
A bit back-asswards isn't it?

@mx_526
Are you trying to be ironic?

The logic these people apply to the internet baffles me..

If you get bored in class (safe to assume you're still in school), and you start having "a little fun", what exactly happens?

You are not alone on this forum. Behave, or go have your "fun" somewhere else.
