Ok try turning at 50 miles an hour with your heavy bike but I hope you have some protective gear
You guys arnt making sense
What your talking about is more of a balance thing and that is different
As long as you have your foot down at very slow speeds you can do 360s all day long
If what you guys were saying were true then everyone would be A class in corners like Bubba ..just rip through them
Thats why you see unexpierenced riders going very slow around turns because they are more stable than going fast

you have to balance a bike when riding at slow speeds...when you get at higher speeds the gyro effect keeps you balanced.

Lol some of this sounds like what i say to new guys at the track. "Just pin it, the faster you go the harder it is to wreck"

I hope you werent seriouse
I dont know why this is so difficult to understand
Im sure you guys have rode a 2 wheeled something in your life or for that matter go outside right now and get on whatever you have a bicycle or dirtbike it doesnt matter get it up to about 20 miles an hour and try turning around really quick
now do the same thing but only go 10 miles an hour and then come back and tell me which you felt more stable doing
At a higher rate of speed momentum is going to come into play and try ty make you go straight there fore loosing stabability.

Is that why i can ride wheelies at 40mph no problem and not at 5mph? Or maybe it's why I can ride with no hands at 40mph and not at 5mph. Some of your comments make sense but not all of them.

Your logic makes no sense. Its sort of contradictory. You say you want the 'stability' to decrease as your velocity increases, but you also say that the rider should turn faster at lower speeds than at higher speeds.

hes just confusing stability with manueverability...... thats his problem :D

So yes motoboss, you are wrong in saying that slower is more stable.... because its not... faster is more stable on a motorcycle as far as staying upright goes.

Manueverability is another story.

There's a hidden menu under the stability contol that lets you adjust roll resistance at slow speeds. Press * with the stability control selected and adjust "Slow Damping Speed" (feet per second) and "Slow Damping Factor".

That makes absolutely no sense to me and saying it like that never will
Your confusing balance with stability ....Go look up the word balance
This is what your saying ... If im going at a high rate of speed and I hit a bump I am less likely to wreck than I am at a low rate of speed
That sir is wrong
Ive been riden dirtbikes for the majority of my life and and ill let you know what happens when the bike hits a bump at a high rate of speed ...if you lucky enough to not wreck you get really out of shape or damn near wreck
But if I hit that same bump at a slower speed My odds are definately better of not wrecking

And thanks jlv for reminding me of that hidden screen

to be fair no point telling jlv anything about physics and stuff because im sure he understands alot more about this kind of thing then we do because he has had to delevope and code the rider which im guessing is bloody hard work. any updates jlv for the torso or new rider?

So far I have models with bone weights exporting from blender and importing into the game and about 90% of the code to make the bones influence the rider mesh.
