[Tutorial] - Track Making - Part 2 Added
Re: [Tutorial] - Track Making - Part 2 Added
Did you put it into program files or personal folder? Should be in personal (and I would delete the blank track files in program files to avoid confusion.)
Re: [Tutorial] - Track Making - Part 2 Added

Re: [Tutorial] - Track Making - Part 2 Added
i think this the right thread for this question but idk
ok so i want to use ddmxs obect pack in my track so i go into ddmxs obectpack1 folder and click on statues and press cut
i go to my blank track and paste the statues file in there and replace the old one with that
i go into the game and all the objects are there . except all the old objects like the finish line bleachers etc
so i opened the statues file in word and open a blank tracks statue file in wordpad i copy and paste everything thats in the blank tracks statue file into the track im working ons statue file . then i save it as a txt doccument . then i go into the game and still have just the obejcts from ddmxs object pack and not the stock objects . what am i doing wrong? is it because i saved as a txt doccument and not a file?

You can try saving it as a normal file, just rename it but take off the .txt at the end. Say OK to the filetype changing warning and see if it works then.

Rich Text Format [rtf]
text document
text doccument-MS-DOS Format
and
unicode text doccument

Everyone uses notepad++, it can save and open plain files.

Re: [Tutorial] - Track Making - Part 2 Added
Use the raise and lower tool and "paint" how you want the bumps to be. Vary the radius of the tool so everything isn't the same. Could take a while to get a good system down, but using both the raise and lower tools, then smooth parts some you might get a good outcome. To be honest doing braking bumps in a paint editor and in the track editor both have strong points and drawbacks, so try both and see which you like better.

Re: [Tutorial] - Track Making - Part 2 Added
i think youd be better off using the gradient editor for things like braking/acceleration bumps
instupitious.
Re: [Tutorial] - Track Making - Part 2 Added
ive tried that but... if u want like a bump on half the side of the track and not the other? u cnt do that with gradient editgordy wrote:i think youd be better off using the gradient editor for things like braking/acceleration bumps
