Here are a couple videos i have watched to trace logo's in CS6 Illustrator they have helped my understand whats needed to trace logo's to vector pretty simple even though i am still having issues with the drenaline cycles logo here they are. If you have anything to add to this that might help other's including myself please do so. Thanks guys

Towards the bottom of his discription there is a page timeline. Start at one using either his logo or your own and follow it. This is if you have CS3 Illustrator. The difference between the two is CS3 contains a live trace and CS6 contains a new image trace.
