DDMX, you should take particular note of this. I just looked at the normal maps for your rocks in the track project folder, and you should definitely do this.

Its a good tutorial. Results are great. Works for more than just rocks as well.

i had learnt that a while back from someone, it was back in the day and i made a tutorial for it, just never thought to upload it :s owell seems u beat me to it. can anyone upload there tutorials here?>

I did some basic Photoshop tutorials but in german :D
So if anyone has a requested tutorial i could try to make one, maybe.

I just made them for nothing, just trying new stuff so when games advance this far i can use my knowledge.

You need to download the 'normalmap plugin', search for it on google somewhere, then in Gimp under effects 'projections' or something the tab is called I believe, and then select normalmap.
