I think it would be a lot funner if instead of muting players the game would select one of a handful of generic statements and put that in chat instead of what the user really typed. Things like good race, sorry, gnarly whip bro, etc.... Obviously restrict them to one altered message per minute so they can't spam the chat with compliments.
