I think what yz was saying is that it would be up to whoever made the bike to model diff pipes for the bikes. You can always skin whatever you want if your good enough but that doesnt mean it will look realistic if the model isnt shaped right for that brand. Plus if the modeller didnt release the template for the pipe its all up to him on what gets released. I think its a great idea to have these features to choose diff stuff but it will make more work for modellers wouldnt it? I still want it done eventuallybarrington314 wrote:yes i understand that i could switch the pipe when im skinning...yzmxer608 wrote:That would be up to whoever makes the model and skins, not jlv.
im talking about skins not even having pipes, and you choose it in your bike setup menu. just like you choose your helmet for your gear.
dare i say it? MVA had this feature.

i dont think it would make more work. i know for the crf template when your skinning you have the option to choose a few pipes that are already done. but then thats that. no changing it once you release it. im saying instead of choosing that pipe in your skin template, choose it seperate so that it could always be changed at any time... just like the wheels. you can change wheels at any time for your bike.jbrandmx85 wrote:I think what yz was saying is that it would be up to whoever made the bike to model diff pipes for the bikes. thats how id like to see the gear as well... as far as boots, neck braces and chest pros. just like you can change your helmet with each gear set. should be able to change your boots too.
just my opinion

I understand what your saying, I guess it would really depend on how it was implemented. But I really would like to see this as well. I mean it adds a lot more diversity to the game.

i think it would be really nice for people who dont have the ability to make their own skins. whether it be bikes or gear. atleast this gives them some custom ability.

Although it does, i think anybody can make themselves a skin. I mean it just takes practice. However that deosnt mean they should release their skins

Re: handguards on/off button
I not sure if you guys discussed this above or not,
But in GTA when you modeled something if you created something new you would add points to the model identifying were to locate things, like wheels..
So if you guys had your bike model. it would be very easy to place and adjust points were you would locate a left handgaurd or right hand gaurd... wheel base changes, different handlebars even, hierarchy would be key here..
Handlbar model separate, with point locations for handgaurds
Bike model with point location for bars.
Not sure if this is already how its done in MXS but id imagine this is what you guys are aiming for?

thats my boy!!! haha, i hope you´re talking about Unleashedbarrington314 wrote:yes i understand that i could switch the pipe when im skinning...yzmxer608 wrote:That would be up to whoever makes the model and skins, not jlv.

I am totally with you guys, changing: boots/neckbrace/helmet/googles is kinda necessary i guess...
with that bike parts stuff, i think it should be just: Handguards on/off; FatBar or Crossbar; and changing exhaust would be cool too, but i am not sure about the exhausts, since you need actually a seperate file, which just fits ONE bike which its made for, otherwise it would be off.
whatever happens at next, thats what i wanna see at the top of jlv´s list !
