Is it safe to say that erode won't be getting any facelifts for a while? Just doing some planning ahead so I know how rough I should make my track. Don't want to make it too rough then not be playable if erode gets updates.

Since when does loosing your muffler make your bike lose power? Think of an engine like an air pump. The more air it can move the more power it will make. Losing your air flow restricting muffler isn't going to make your bike lose power....

Actually you lose loads of power...ever hear of back pressure? It would alter the low end alot for sure

yes exhausts work on back pressure, thats why a lot of those big rocket pipes on cars actually lower the performance of a car, they let out to much air, whereas a normal thin exhaust pipe, will have better performance as it forces out more pressure as the exhaust is smaller.

Not all the time though. My brother just put a new exhaust on his A4, and his engine was getting robbed of so much power because the pipe. It was only about 1.5 inches wide, and it robbed it. He put on a Magnaflo with a 3' downpipe, and he's getting so much more power now (not to mention it sounds badass).

Good one gordy. Somehow I knew that the dyno sheets from my bike with an open pipe and a muffler on it weren't lying to me...

Way to argue your point though kids, lol.

Hehe let out too much air. If letting too much air out loses power, how does a turbo work?? :P The argument I always go by is F1 cars and Moto GP bikes are not restricted by noise limits and they want maximum performance, hence they don't use a silencer.
