That has been suggested that many times, I think JLV knows already.

JLV: On the topic of shaders, will you only be doing normal and specular maps + rider/bike shadow? Or are you thinking of adding bloom as well? Not that that effect looks good unless done correctly, otherwise it looks cheezy.

Oh, you were considering shadow maps for the terrain as well weren't you? (for riders going between objects and sun)

I cant think of any other types

I'll probably do stuff that can be done in one pass first. The multipass stuff will require working FBO support which has been troublesome so far.

Good day Gentlemen,

I got two things on my plate both are server related.

1. Global Ban list:
At least a list which is checked by all servers to provide a clean environment.

2. Server to server connection:

This is a bit tricky to explain at least I know it from a server structur called FSInn for MSFS,FSX this is a server network where different servers are connected to each other. So when you connect to a server in europe you will see people connected to a server in USA or elsewhere. At least it gives you better ping times and less lag while online with more people at the same time. Basicly at this point in time i don´t know how to explain the structure better in english but if JLV is thinking of implementing this i can see what i can do to get more info about it.

Kind Regards
Sonnette

This is like a question/suggestion

Is it possible to switch the model texture detail on the fly? Because I get unusable lag at setting 10, but that looks beautiful compared to setting 9....

I'd like to be able to (play and) set up a screenshot with the model texture detail at 9, then switch it to 10 when I have the game paused and the camera positioned for the screenshot, take the screen, the dail it back down to 9 to setup another screenie...

It would be possible, but it would mean reloading every texture.

Um, I'm ok with that. I think. Like if it were some kind of command or button or something (that would be hard to accidentally do).

Syncing two buttons. Once upon a time I used the same button for brake and dab. That was before sticky dab, thus a very very long time ago
