And why do you keep living in the past on this track stuff? You bring that same stuff up over and over. Get over it.

makes me laugh when i think about it lol not my fault i get retarded raging pm's from your team

and back on your old sx updated tracks, like lets say you mess up and have to single in..you literally had no line because there really wasnt a jump face since they weren't very uniform IMHO
Waaaah wash here I am. I have PMd you once in my life and it wasn't remotely related to a track.

Anyways, seeing your "reasons" for disliking his tracks, is kinda ridiculous. At least IMO they're the closest you can get to a straight up JLV track. But yeah you always seem to bring stuff up from the past. And I don't even feel bad coming in because you brought me and Hoffman up into some random fucking
Forum post because you give 2 shits about washougal still or something.

And i know plenty of people who have the balls to bag on JLV there's just not many reasons too and when there are they're not stupid enough to make themselves look like idiots in the forums (like me lol). But other thank Harrington, jlv, or checkers, I wouldn't trust anyone to make SX tracks that didn't suck week in and week out (yes this includes you). Where they're pretty much the same and MOST people like every time they're made.

Anyways, if you don't like barringtons tracks, don't play them. And try to stay away from raging on the forums with no provocation.

'Harrington's' sx tracks are pretty damn good if you ask me, only tracks I've ridden that feel like JLV's. But as he said, all of them decals etc would be a pain in the ass! JLV is the man for the job right now, everyone I know has never once complained about JLV's track, if they complain about anything it's the track layout, and he can't do anything about that can he?
'Harrington'

(Sorry for page rape but after a huge kick in the balls for not even being considered)
My displacements may not be as good as Chex or Markham, my visuals are not YFMX standards and when it comes to cutting edge stuff im no Wheels, JVDL or Boblob801 (Shoutout to Steve!) however when it comes to the complete package "Obama" Yes we can" ! :D

ok looks like i came off a little wrong, the only reason i brought AWood into this was because he rages at every track not made by barrington (don't lie you know it :D)
and for some reason you guys think i am still mad about the whole washougal thing? no, i use it as a joke, just how checkerez does with the whole 7.5 thing, you dont see me going all "just get over it already and stop bringing up the past, and stop raging on the forums" thats how it is with Hoffman and AWood, the pm was when Hoffman told me i ruined washougal or something and told me to never make tracks again or something like that lmfao, i am really surprised you left jay out, dude makes some sick work and puts a lot of time into it and you can't just be in some little world of your own where checkerez, barrington, and jlv are the ONLY ones who make good tracks, to me that's just being closed minded, open your eyes AWood, maybe you'll find something new :D

sorry if you guys thought i was raging or something, just making a little joke thats all, no hate between track makers, everyone has their own style, and everyone of us works hard on them.

IDK why this is even a discussion. But whatever, I guess thats what forums are for. I just dont ever see this becoming a job for anyone other than JLV at this point. And it makes sense.
Anyways, Jay is the complete package. No denying that.
As far as "who makes the best displacement?" (SX), lets be real, any of us in this topic could make them how ever we choose to. If I wanted to make one like Markham, I could do so even with out his PS template. If Checkerz wanted to make one like JLV, he could and has. Or what about Hagg or Rafagas? Terrain beasts. My point is, IDK why anyone is getting singled out in this. SX terrains arent that hard to make. Id rather be good at the visuals like Jay. But Im pretty happy with myself on what I can build in editor.
We should all be working together, for the better. That being said, Jay, wanna help me finish Glen Helen?

i think instead of making one person do the sx tracks, just have certain jobs for people, will make it less work for all, and use the people that are more skilled in their area, like jay for visuals, Me for laziness, and so on, there is not a "best track creator", lets be honest, everyone has their own style, and preference, i like realism, i have tanner who wants flow, and then people who want other things, as every track creator knows, it is impossible to make a track that everyone likes, and if that does happen...then it was rigged!

i love JLV's sx tracks. but for racing, i think i would prefer something more realistic. JLV's tracks are just too perfect, if you know what i mean. everything is perfectly even and jumps are peaked and actually look sharp! (literally)
i think jay has it right. hes gotta be my fav sx track maker of all time. dirt texture, to jump realism. his just feel more realistic. the jumps are smoothed over just like real sx (not sharp) and he makes the tracks with un even jumps (you might have a better chance clearing a big rythem if you find a certain point on the jump) and the ground feels loose and you can see that the ground isnt perfect. it has unexpected small rises/dips so small its hard to see. but JLV's look like 500 steam rollers went over it. jays are obviously harder but they seem better for pro racing.
just my thoughts

TRACTION! CHANGE THE DAMN TRACTION!!!!!

Jlv's are good, consistent, and easy for all skill levels. In my opinion though it's not the best for the pro's, maybe the ams but not pros. I feel Chris has his tracks nailed down, I have never rode anybody else's tracks that flow and race like his. Jlv's are good don't get me wrong but they don't feel like a supercross track in my opinion, they are just to spread out and wide open. Don't even get me started on the ice.. I mean dirt traction either. Jay also has the visuals nailed down.

I don't care who makes them, but I think something's need to be tested out or changed.

I like everything about JLV's tracks. Leave it as is, if it isn't broken don't fix it.

FWIW I have way more awkward wtf was that moments on checkz/markhams tracks than I do on JLVs. I'd split the causes about 50:50 on super traction:shitty abrupt transitions.

It's not just "wtf the fuck" moments that bother me about it. We don't have ruts like they do irl so we needs something for grip, and skidding on my shoulder for 50ft isn't very real to me. Given the collision system could be at fault for some, but when I ride on jlv's sx tracks I feel like I'm on a concrete model of a track and there is absolutely no roll resist. When factory 250f riders are set bouncing triples irl we shouldn't be over jumping them by 20ft with a scrub. It doesn't feel like dirt at all and I don't feel comfortable being aggressive on it. Maybe it's just me but going into a berm I don't feel like I can charge in like I want to with out loosing the rear tire and doing a 720 on my helmet. Again collisions may be at hand at this a little but I've played with traction quiet a bit and I feel as if I have a nice traction for sx, it's very similar to checkerz traction on his latest compound of tracks.
