Small Things

Post by HahaGetIt »

Hey pretty new here and to mxs in general but I love it. Just some small suggestions that I think would be nice and may have already been suggested: 1) Some sort of middle-man server that could forward you to other servers in-game 2) Load the ghost for time trial before you start 3) gui stuff like scrolling menus instead of pages 4) save bikes w/ suspension settings. I'm addicted nonetheless but just some little quirks here and there that give it that indie-game feel. But with thq cancelling their stuff, now's a great time to make it look and feel more professional or give it some "super-sikkkkkk" graphics or whatever's gonna sell it to kiddies. Also maybe I'm being overly-ambitious but an xna port would be real nice :) I'd love to be playing on my xbox one day and I'd buy the game again on the marketplace.

1) useless
2) Don't make any sense

Like a selectable ghost? It means the game would have to save out a bunch, but it could be useful if you wanna ride with a slower ghost until you get better and switch to a faster ghost once you can ride a whole lap at speed. It is possible now, but requires some manual labor

I find so many features of this game like this. Don't get me wrong, I love MXS and play it a ton; however, it's this factor that really drives me insane much of the time.

User friendly functionality is still a must not just to draw in noobs, but to keep the sanity of stubborn old people like me too.

For the ghost I think he means load it before you cross the finish to start a new timed lap (the first time). Right now the first time you do it, it loads the ghost right when you hit the finish, and often takes a few seconds and it hangs until the ghost is finished loading.

^^^ yup that's what I was talking about with the ghost. And ya I know a very practical person would call these changes useless because they don't technically add any functionality to the game, just the polish-factor is always nice. Take back what I said about scrolling menu's and replace that idea with folders. I would looooove having a supercross folder, and within that a 2010 and 2011 folder, etc. And ya I get the whole app thing for saving bikes and whatnot but alt-tabbing over isn't the bidness.

solution-
1. Hit the finish jump
2. let ghost load
3. hit backup and do your lap all over again

Problem Solved.
