Stats Site

Post by checkerz »

I think some additions to make the stats site a bit more user friendly would be nice. Right now, on each person's profile they see:

Time - Bike - Track

I propose these new columns

Position (what number on the list are you) - Your Record Time - Track - Bike - Record Holder Name - Record Holder's Time

So it would look something like this for me:

54 - 2:34.566 - Mission Valley DOS - KX125 - BARRY-Jones221 - 2:10.000

Why do I think this is important? It would make checking stats and competing to better times all at one glance on a profile.

I would also like a search bar for looking for a certain rider.

Regarding searching, this blew my mind!

I can see the usefulness of the extra fields, but I've made it a little difficult by statically generating those pages whenever new results are uploaded. It's very efficient that way but it's bad at dynamic stuff like that. I can still do it with a static page and some javascript though.

One very small change I would like to see, somewhat related to this, is in game when a race is done, have the results come up with position #, then rider #, fast lap, and maybe add last lap as well. I feel really dumb having to count where I am in big online races.

What about something in game, what if you typed "/seestats" it could also give you a run down for that track ,something basic, maybe your UID's record lap and the record for the track.

I guess I'm always looking to make things more user friendly. I am lazy, I hate digging; and there is so much valuable info there.
