Player volume ratio.

Post by Phathry25 »

I would love to be able to turn down the rest of the bikes on the track, or mine up, which ever.

IRL you know you're in the wrong gear from the way the bike pulls, the only cue in MXS is audio, and in a pack I cannot hear my own bike.

I can't hear my bike in real life as well, at least to the first corner I have no idea how it pulls as well lmao. Probably don't have the feeling.

I wasn't debating weather or not in real life you can hear your own bike in a pack. You don't need to, you can feel it.

That's great idea , its annoying in a race the people's bike sound , you can't even hear the noise of your own bike

I don't want to mute them, how in the world would I know someone is catching me from behind? Or if they are sticking it up the inside of me? These are both things I can do by listening for other players bikes, I still want to hear them, I just want to be able to adjust how loud my bike is in comparison to theirs.

Maybe I should just lower the other bikes' volumes a bit for everyone? It seems like the start should be a little confusing to be realistic.

Yea, the start strait is usually hard to tell, but after the first corner it's usually no problem to discern if you're bike is pulling hard or not.

But in real life, we can feel vibrations and what not, thus creating this 'fake' increase volume (or being able to detect when to shift).

Perhaps we need rumble support for Xbox/PS3 controllers to simulate vibrations.

^ someone had a code posted, id like to see official support tho and also maybe just have a script to play riders in a race with different sound levels (1-10) just so it gives some variety if possible. Then everyone kinda has there own level/distinctiveness plus you can hear yourself over others better.
