Hot-Keys

Post by MX PRODIGY 17 »

Idk i have been thinking about adding hot-keys to the game or little shortcuts to do certain things in game to make it a little easier for us lazy crowd :p
for example
CTRL R=Restart -- which is the main one the next few are more of just little things i'm pulling out of my @$$.
CTRL P=Server, listplayers
CTRL G types server, setgate __
CTRL B server, ban ____
or maybe even CTRL S or something to automatically type in "server," to make it just a little easier.

obviously the last few are just randoms i came up with. But the restart one would be extremely useful since we are having to restart all the time in races.
There is tons more i'm sure i am not thinking of but just an idea to make it more user friendly and easier for us to navigate around with commands and what not.

dont hate. just a simple suggestion. if you dont like it then...

ZenKey is freeware. I'm sure there's many more programs available that will get the job done...

why would you want hot keys? You will burn your hand constantly , but it can be a extra motivation to crash less hmm interesting!!!

Nah kidding , a restart button would be soooo appriciated!! I keep putting down my joystick , hitting escape , picking up my mouse , clicking start new race , picking up joystick again.
Cause i constantly try to do fast faultless laps , 1 crash means i have to restart :) its kinda a neurotic thing i quess

hahaha yea definitely. i saw a suggestion someone had to just control the menu just by the controller which would also help a ton. press start to get to menu then scroll threw like that. and then even have hot-keys programmed to the controller :p a to click on it b to restart analog to browse threw idk seems like a lot more work then jlv needs atm but would definitely be cool.

I'm the EXACT same way, I don't know what it is, but if i'm riding by myself and i crash while trying to put in some good/fast laps, i restart

Anyway, to get back on topic, this sounds like a good idea. I really like the restart and setgate ones, the others I'm not so sure about.

Restart button: Turn on Abort on Reverse or whatever, push reverse button to restart time trial.
