peripheral vision

Post by Nikhil »

So in real life after a crash, you have the ability to turn your head and check to make sure no one is coming before you get going again. In MXS, you can't do this, and it results in guys getting up and unknowingly running right into someone who's coming through. You can sometimes figure out based on engine sounds, but this doesn't work so well when there are a lot of bikes on the track.

I think it would be a good idea to have a banner display (like the blue flag) whenever you either crash or go off course to alert you that a rider is approaching. It could be on either the left or right side of the screen depending on which side of you they're on. This could sort of act as peripheral vision and let you know what's going on around you so you don't accidentally wreck someone else.

Yes but we shouldnt have to it is called a sim in every sim (heck even arcade race games) you are able to look around IMO this is the most over looked thing in this game is not having the ability look around.

Yeah, but this doesn't always work so well. The other dots are pretty tiny, and when you're in a hurry to get up after a crash, most people aren't going to stare at the track map to make sure no one is headed their way.

Triple monitors.

But really, even in those games that have look buttons, or support Track iR, or free look, guess what...people are still in a rush to get back on track and pull back onto the track recklessly and without looking.
