Revisiting the oldies

Post by die996 »

Original tracks are easy and kinda cool for beginners... what if some "team" (or selected group) tries to remake them??

I've seen that in a few other games and the results were always good : better scenery, better maps, sometimes longer tracks
I'm not saying "take out the original tracks and make something similar but new". 00 server should only have the original tracks

Notes for all :
· More objects
· More rutted and/or bumpy (keep them easy but not that much)

My ideas :
ALLAMUCHY MOUNTAIN
· If any of you know how to improve this go ahead

EKSWANBEE PARK
· New theme (make it a park)
· New section (make it so pro laps are around 1' 15" or 1' 20")

GLENSIDE
· New start (a little bit wider for the first S)
· More bumpy when straights have no jumps

LOCUST
· New theme (desert maybe??)
· Something on the southern infield (new section or some object... just not an empty space)

OVERHILL
· Narrower
· New roads up and down the hill (less straight-hairpin-straight-hairpin)
· More man-made jumps (just take out the old ones and make new ones) and make them rational

RABBIT PARK
· Narrower
· Easy sandy track
· New section (MX tracks are not that short)

RIDGE RIDERS
· Narrower roads on the bottom
· Longer section on the plateau with a couple more jumps and more sandy-like there

SMITHTOWN
· New section (maybe at the hill)

WATERLOO VALLEY
· Track now goes to the other side of the valley too
· More realistic jumps
Thanks for reading

00 is the stock track server so only the original tracks will be on it. It would be good however to have an easier version of 01, but i dont think its too likely to happen.

No. They're beginner tracks because they have no ruts and they have no objects which makes it easy on shitty computers.

You gotta explain

· What does it have in common with the original one?? I only see the 2 first turns
· Why is it all colored the same?? Secondary roads should be slightly different

The rest is ok. Freestyle thing is too wide but I think that will make it easier

I actually made this before 450's so most of the jumps were hucks, not scrubbers.
