make gear selection all seperate...

as in, you select your boot, neck brace, chest pro, all seperate from jersey/pants. kind of like how you select helmet seperate now. i think this would make things easier on everyone.
found some awesome gear but dont like neck braces? well your screwed unless the skinner made 2 versions. you could simply select [NO] in the brace spot.

exactly. and even if they do, its just that much more stuff you have to have downloaded and clustered all together.
this way would keep your files to a minimum.
