Would it be possible to put your psyches in another engine like Cry engine 3 or unreal 3 ect. and dosent those engines optimize the performance where game could run nice and smooth with a ok pc with just say 60 riders. and have dynamic skys and suns. and dx11 and phsyex supported. Just a thought I think would be a break though in this game. the game now look great but imagine how is would look in those engines

That sounds like an effortless job for both JLV and anyone looking to make content for the game. By that, I meant it would be a pain in the arse

the game would be unplayable, do you know how uncomfortable it would be playing a 30 minute moto with a boner.

Modding is very big on unreal engines so I guess making new models and skins wouldn't be that much of a problem.

rewriting the game for work on those engines would be a lot of work. besides that those engines are not built to create games like MXS, thats not to say it's not possible just not very plausible.
I'm not an expert on Game development but i'm sure it's not as simple as just throwing some code into the Unreal 3 engine and having massively improved visuals and performance.
A big decision in developing is the tools you use to develop. So I'm positive that jlv carefully considered his options when starting MXS and throughout the development of MXS, therefor it's a conscious decision on his part to not use those engines for whatever reason. (again I'm not an expert, and I also don't know jlv's development process and plans.)

of course there are ways to make the game better. in every aspect. look at the COD and BF games. 10's of millions of dollars are spent easily on making those games. but in return they are selling millions of copies. mxs has sold, what, under 7,000 copies? think its still worth it? face it, motocross is a relatively small community.

just curious, since its kind of the same subject... is it possible to make a MX SIM 2, and start over from scratch for everyone? like re selling a new and improved version to everyone? i had heard not and that this will be the one and only MX sim ever.

the production values of those games do not compare to MXS in any way. so it's a bad comparison.
and i doubt they spend 10's of millions on the latest COD games, they just need a couble bums off the street to do ctrl-c ctrl-v from the COD before that hahah

I made some Maps for COD WAW and its not hard at all. just got to learn it same with the cry engine and unreal. unreal reminds me of the source engine when making maps.

my point is that the money being spent is justified by the money being made.
