for the new terrain shaders, how come its norms/spec instead of bump maps?

like when I made tracks for reflex the bumps blended well.

It's bump map effects the displacement map, so it's more 3D than the flat look for a normal map. It's not as efficient as a normal map though

the bump diddent effect the hight map in relflex? Is that what your saying dj?
