50's RF Class for Las Vegas

Post by Snopro704 »

Some of you guys are gonna hate this idea and some are gonna love it... What if RF ran a 50's class for the final race in Vegas? Heats, lcq, and a final or maybe JUST a top 20 qualifier main event. Either way it could be fun. (And funny to those watching) Obviously it would only be like 6 laps at the least. :P

I like it, they did this for Lorreta's last year, I'm pretty sure. It looked like it went down well. You'd be surprised at the gap some of these guys can pull even on something so slow.

i think a 50 class would be awesome. i ran one at A1 for the RF amateur open class in the LCQ and it was the most fun i've had while racing. people who were watching it loved it too. it's just overall fun to race and fun to watch. you would have to make the races shorter due to the time aspect of how long you want the race program to be.

I'd be more in for a 5 lap 125 Dash with top 10 qualifiers from each class. 30 guy showdown

i mean the 50 races could be just like a 5 lap race of the top 20 qualifiers. it wouldn't take that long at all and it would be a fun intermission type deal for the other races.

Sween and Wheels do NOT want to make the night program any longer than it already is. Hell, if it were up to them they'd pick names out of a hat and race them then be done

i understand the night program is long but i feel as that should be changed as well. maybe not for the pro night but for the amateur night. The AM races take forever and maybe should be split up into maybe 2 nights. The first night could be qualifying and then the 2nd is the racing. This way people wouldn't be up until the wee hours of the morning. I know this may be very difficult for the people who run it but it could help. It's just an idea so please don't hat too much
