If you go through the rest of the suggestions, you'll see this at least once. It's already been said that too many people's computers wouldn't be able to do it

Wrong. Don't listen to him. That's not the reason it hasn't been implemented. Jlv would have to recode the online servers which is time consuming. It's not at the top of the priority list atm. I would like to think that jlv wouldn't pass up certain ideas and additions because of peoples computers not being sufficient.

It requires massive amounts of bandwidth.

Even if that weren't a problem, I doubt most computers would handle a full gate, or even 15

im sorry but i don't see how it can be to much bandwith then what is capable of servers today. I understand that it could be to expensive to upgrade the type of servers that are being used. but your making its sound like its impossible.

I must say though, I use about 200mb an hour playing sim and chating on TS and my flat mate uses 1768mb an hour playing L.O.L.

You're comparing apples to oranges though bob. Don't you have iRacing or rFactor? Wouldn't that be a fairer comparison? I don't think you have to worry as much about lag in a game like L.O.L. because you don't need to be updated on other players positions several times per second. Then again I have never played such a game, so I could be talking out of my ass.

You are right but my point was the game can burn insane amounts of data yet be fairly stable on a server. MXS uses up the least amount for most games I play, so I would assume as long as the servers are good we should be fine. Odds are I'm wrong, the server will probably die but we can only try.

I just want the option to use it online. Would be so much fun with just a couple other guys on a private server.

this will be the day that mx simulator will get +1000 members in a very short time as this is a evolution in motorbike gaming. sim is already a brilliant game + erode and i need no more from this game :) even though every thing already is enough

Just made an estimate of 6.5 megabytes/sec for the worst case, which isn't _that_ bad for no compression. Maybe I'll take a stab at it after the terrain shaders.
