Local Mute

Post by KTM57 »

It would be a nice feature to be able to mute people locally in server chat. If we could just use the same commands that marshals use to mute people globally, then it would be nice. I had it in my head that the ignore command was supposed to work this way, but I've only found that only "ignore all" and "ignore none" work.

Right now it's just none, specs or all.

So, would it be possible to add a local ignore feature?

So in a server script does the "Mute All" command still work? We used it in our last series but in this most recent race we ran it said "unknown command" or something.

No. Mute is just an alternate way to a mute ban now. When you do this (mute UID 2 for 10 minutes):

server,mute 2 10

It's the same as this:

server,ban 2 10 (mute)

I didn't write it up anywhere but if the ban reason is (mute) or (name=Whatever), instead of banning it will mute and/or force the rider's name.

On the bright side, if you screw it up he gets banned...win-win
