More Bike Setup Options

Post by dbaum25moto »

This is something I've Wanted for a while. Id like to see where there would be more options such as goggles, Boots and Handguards. This just seems like it would be pretty cool to have

I really would love if boots were separated.

I do agree with Tyskorn here. I saw a topic before where JLV talked about why it was the way it is now. If we made it to where we could change boots like a helmet, the rider body would have to be redone to allow for a boot.jm, or something on the lines of that. It sounded super complicated to me.

it is, easiest way to get the boots you want.... download the template, put them on the gear you want them on.

His concern with splitting them is the resolutions and graphic power it will take to run it. As it sits right now its 1 2048x and 1 1024x or smaller for the rider. With it all split your looking at 512x for boots, 256x for gloves/goggles, 1024x for gear, and then add in the bike and track you see its going to take alot of GPU memory to load it. I think the game needs better usage of textures/optimizations, community needs to use LODs better, and then he can implement it.
