Starting setups

Post by 760Liam »

It'd be cool if you could have a starting setup. And only for suspension, no need to change your advanced. The way I'm thinking it could work is by having a setup in your setups folder named "Holeshot" then when you are loaded up and on the starting a gate, the game reads the "Holeshot" setup. Then, after you have pasted a certain timing gate the game reads the setup you had previously.

you mean like a holeshot device on your front forks, and a rev limiter like on the Kawasaki's? that would be ok, but not any other changes as they cant be done in real life.
an animation of you locking the front wheel down that you could control when or if you did it would be fun too!

Isn't this what jlv just banned? People were apparently having a setup for a hole shot then they'd hot key their normal setup back.
I personally like the thought of a hole shot device though.

I actually think an adjustable holeshot device could be cool. It shouldn't be THAT difficult to effectively lock the front forks to keep them from extending until the device has been tripped (by compression of 1/2" or so). Could be interesting to adjust it (within the limits of the fork travel) just to see what effect the changes would have.

You can already lower the back of the bike by holding the rear brake and giving gas, it'll stay down.

I just learned that last night from watching Leclair off the start.
