Body injury

Post by mxrewind665 »

Well I seen bike damage is a no but maybe bofy injury would be better. I mean maybe people will think twice before a punt, or before they do something they know they cant do durring a race and coast someone.

Kinda already implemented with the "knockout" feature. Problem is that if you are punted by a skilled rider any system wouldn't matter as you would be left down over the berm and the other guy continuing on.

Yeah I suppose so. I was just mad when I got hit and it was because someone was just kamakazee piolting through a rythem consistantly and came onto opposite lanes. Thats the problem with this game and people. You cant get hurt so why does it matter if you crash or take someone out 5th/6th tapped.

so your idea of fixing the problem of others taking you out, is by your rider getting hurt from said take outs and ending your race? how does that seem like a good idea? lol.

What about decreasing rider forward spring automatically to simulate injury? Every time you crash hard, the value of your rider forward spring is lowered by a value of 5 or something like that, simulating a dazed/injured rider with slower movements on the bike. I think that would be pretty cool. It would have to bypass the new "Settings not applied" error though, but at the same time you arent able to change it back in the settings until the next race.

We could even have a timer, so after x amount of minutes the rider will return to full function. Maybe you gain a value of 1 for every 2 minutes, until eventually you are back to what your real forward spring setting is.

OR

The rider simply isnt able to regain health after falling, and the amount of forward spring taken away remains like that until next race.

I think it would stop the crazy risks people take in this game. Maybe people will think twice before pulling some crazy pass on someone. BUT, I dont think it should be a regular feature, maybe make an update for RFG/EMF, etc ONLY!
Like the leclair update xD

I'm almost tempted to do this just so I can add whiskey throttle too.

you must not realize that crashing alone cost you at least 8 seconds. thats huge in racing. if thats not enough to deter people from being idiots, then noting will.

You must not realize that I said only in RFG/EMF races. I am aware that your average joe on elsinore servers dont think twice before punting or pulling some stupid block pass (when you're the one lapping them..) I think if this feature was added, people would punt even more than they do now, just to ruin others races that much more. Some people just simply dont care.

BUT

Should be an option to turn on/off by server admins so organized events/races can use the feature. Hopefully if someone qualifies for a pro race, they care enough that they wont completely ruin anothers race. But you're always going to get that one retard that ruins it for everyone.

ANOTHER IDEA: If somebody is ramming in an organized race, odds are they will be black flagged. Spectators will inform and admin almost immediately. So, If contact with someone happens, and causes you to lose a little rider movement, then we can make it so when the guy is black flagged, it will automatically restore the victims rider settings.
