This would be good for those laptops that have a really good cpu, but the worst gpu.
I have a intel core i5, but a intel hd graphics 4000. And sim is more gpu dependant. So i get really really constant lag drops.
Switch in options to make the game more CPU dependant

Change you terrain render type to "software" instead of shaders or hardware direct/copy.JJH186 wrote:This would be good for those laptops that have a really good cpu, but the worst gpu.

Yeah anyone with a laptop should run software rendering.Wahlamt wrote:Change you terrain render type to "software" instead of shaders or hardware direct/copy.JJH186 wrote:This would be good for those laptops that have a really good cpu, but the worst gpu.

It's funny because MXS is one of the most CPU intensive games I've ever played.

Intensive is the wrong word. Biased would probably be more fitting.

It's just for the terrain textures. It's more to work around buggy FBO support in OpenGL drivers than to unload the GPU.
