Accessing 3rd Person in Demos

This has probably been mentioned thousands of times before, but just wondered if there would be a way to implement a feature which would let you go back into your demo, and watch in third person. For example, if you wanted to record a race in third person without having to record it live? (As that may effect your fps on some occasions) Just thought this would be a useful feature to have in the game.

I've wondered why it hasn't been implemented because it's been mentioned since the creation of the game.
