Wheel Model

Post by ROSE822 »

As we all know the Tyre/Wheel model behaves as a sphere... Whats the chances of it being remodel to an actual 'Tyre' model and implemented?? im sure this would help Erode to a certain degree as well?

It's modeled as a torus. Not much room for improvement.

If you're going to post, please don't send me a PM on top of that. It's very annoying to have to answer twice.

Do you think if the wheel model had a closer side profile to a motocross tire we would see more cupping on the tops of ruts?

No. The terrain is nowhere close to that detail level.

Do you think we can see a model of the torus if possible?

It's not done as a mesh. It's done as a function so it doesn't have the limited precision that you would get with a mesh.
