is the torso big enough?
I find the torso of the rider is kinda big who make it looks like a goon, like he have his shirt off the pants.
instead of pro riders, who looks more PRO with the shirt inside the pants
couldnt find a real pic of a goon.

Look at the top of the Astar's in the MVA pic. Holy crap that is huge.
Re: is the torso big enough?
Right now I'm not sure if it's worth it to make tons of improvements on the rider model. Until the rider positioning is changed who knows what it's going to do to the model.

the human stupidity and the universe are unlimited, and im not totally sure about the universe...
Re: is the torso big enough?
You could fudge it a little in the model but to do major changes you'd need to change the armature.

Re: is the torso big enough?
I played around with the model a bit. It does look better.
Re: is the torso big enough?
The pants should still be up higher, shouldn't they?
Re: is the torso big enough?
Yeah, thats a tricky thing to do with this armature... I think
Re: is the torso big enough?
if the shirt gets higher, the torso looks smaller. so theres your next problem you get.

Re: is the torso big enough?
I think the armature is where the body is split in two and bends though. So he can't make the pants higher or the guy will be rotating at his butt. And that would look extremely unrealistic.
Re: is the torso big enough?
The armature is his bones. The human body has 206 bones, and the armature simulates those bones with just 9. I believe it's a pretty hard thing to get it right. I'm sure game developer companies have single people who's profession is just dealing with animations and armatures.tyskorn wrote:I think the armature is where the body is split in two and bends though. So he can't make the pants higher or the guy will be rotating at his butt. And that would look extremely unrealistic.
