Proximity Chat

Post by bootsie »

Would there be any chance to add proximity chat. I think it would be hilarious to go by someone in the whoops and just go "BRADADADADADA"
But also have the ability to mute some by there uid ex. server, mute 1234 or server, mute all

this game would be way more toxic with proximity chat, though it's hilarious to think about how funny it would be lol

I mean as toxic as it could be, it'd be hilarious if Leclair passed you and in his french accent he'd just be like 'Later noob"

That would be funny. Definitely have more important stuff to do though.

Yeah this is priority. I think this is the change that takes the game to the next level.

I've always wanted the public elsinore servers to be popular again like they used to be, those were the golden days of sim when you just hopped on and the lobby was full. I think proximity chat might be a good step in making that happen again.

Right now I'm working on switching to 64 bit builds. Having some trouble getting the 64 bit Windows cross compiler going. (Trying to use mingw-w64 and it's crashing building the C runtime library.) The Linux version is working in 64 bit and I think it might actually be a bit smoother feeling.
