Shifting Realism

Post by cloaked »

In MXS you can shift from first to fifth in a split second. In real life it takes a while for your foot to upshift that far.

MXS Pro's typically upshift a couple gears on the face of jumps to jump farther. In real life you avoid shifting on the face of jumps.

MXS Pro's often use 4th-5th gear on supercross tracks, while real pros do not.

I'd suggest making each shift take about 0.2 seconds, and reducing the power during a shift.

I agree but the only reason we use 4-5th on sx in this game is because the tracks are so unbelievably overscaled

I think this is a great idea, and while it'll be a meta shift, it's an easy way to start reducing scale

Would be great. Would make you think twice to shift or keep revving the last 0.5s.

This is an amazing idea as the tracks would be a drastic change and make it much more real good idea. +1 Jlv this is awesome.
