When I saw this pic...



... i got the idea to make something like this on the top during race. I think this shows way more information and it would be cool (kind of)

as a spectator sure it would be nice. but while racing I wouldn't want stuff like that popping up. I rarely look at my pitboard anyway.

maybe then every1 can choose how it should show up...

but honestly... when I race f.e. SMA series, I wanna know who leads and and and...

As a spectator yes it would be kinda realistic.. But for players no.

we shouldn't talk if its realistic... its not realistic like it now anyway...

but i think it would be a nice improvement tho. as I said already, maybe that ppl can choose how it should show up!

a nice thing to have would be a bar like the blue flag, but it then tells you the 15 minutes you had to race are over.

I would like to have the info on the pitboard continualsly move instead of skipping around between how far you are away from the next rider and what place you are.

You need to understand how the game is created to understand this.

There's timing gates which are placed around the track. Whenever you go through one it sets of a update with times, telling you. To have a continuous timer would be a true hassle, because you'd need to make a whole new style of keeping track of laps/times/positions, etc.

i personally think an info feed at the top of the screen would be hella badass, but, i imagine, very hard to program(i dunno, i suck at programming, so i wouldnt have a clue how youd do something like that).

I'd rather have no pitboard, and set a timing gate to show it. Make similar line to how the flaggers are, just make it work for the timing gates file. So you'd go past pit-row and it'd pop up until you leave the timing section.

I agree with the not while your actually racing part, but it would be cool in the spectator view. And you wouldn't need to have an exact timer. It could be calculated like how some car racing games are. for ex: I know in gran turismo, when I pass a check point, it either tells me how far behind I am or how far ahead I am once the people behind me reach that checkpoint. So in our instances, it would tell you how far you are behind the leader after each timing gate. Or even set up something so that instead of it popping up after each timing gate, it would only do it for designated ones "3 times a lap".

This is how it should be imo. Or at least only have an update when you cross the finish line each lap. If you want to know where the other riders are you can just take a look at the map.

Would be cool for spectators and LIVESTREAM ofcourse, if there are guys who still wanna stream the races....
