bike malfunction

Post by cuzmxer544 »

as a simulation game shouldnt there be mechanical issues that arise from riding just like in real life. just for a few examples. i know ingame i run the piss out of the 125s and if i rode them like that in real life i would be blowin motors like crazy. and on the 250s i always hear people bouncin off the rev limiter like its cool but if you did that in real life you would be ruining your top end. and unless your justin barcia your bikes not getting rebuilt every race. i think we should have a meter for the motor tellin you when its gonna go or maybe no meter so its more real and it just goes if your being to hard on it.

That's foolish. Me personally, I just wanna go as fast as possible in the game, I could care less about the maintenance of my sim bike. Ideally we would all go out on fresh motors every time we ride, but in real life most of us don't have the means to do that, in the game we all do. :)

Instead of just blowing up, why not have the bikes overheat and lose power? This seems like a more realistic situation for a 10 lap race, if it's even possible at all.

I really like that idea something we can set up as an option tho so if we wana have a sim race we can make it over heat and maybe rider health in there too

an overheating bike reminds me of excitebike. The guys that just hold the throttle pinned all the time are a little irritating though.

i think this whole idea would be pretty cool... but the top end and stuff couldnt go to fast or it would be annoying haveing to redo it every 30 seconds when u rev limitered.

I would say no to the rider health. You can change how you ride the bike accordingly, you can't change the way you crash.

I'm with YZ here. Rider health is too subjective and would not be worth the time to develop. Like I said in my first post, in the real world best case scenario nobody would get hurt or get tired, and that's essentially what we are going for in the simulator. Who wants to play a game with a tired ass rider who can barely hang on? Sure, we all want to try it, but lets be honest here, after 10 minutes we would get bored of it and just go back to the old way.

I heard that with the help of randy lawrence and ryan hughes, jlv is busy coding the first motocross training simulator. 3 hour training rides as well as an hour and a half in the gym and you will have no problem witth your rider getting tired...mxsimulator-taking over lives since 2008!-and we love it :)

i would like to have these effects like if u blew up ur motor like a valve drops :D and the bike blows up or out of gas and when u go down u have to walk to ur bike on your own and u can walk the track before each race or just any time and when u get like a shorty or a yoshimer pipe the sound changes that'd be badass!

I would like to have the effect, like, when a a bus gets out of control, and it goes and hits you! And you never come back on these forums! That'd be badass! :D

Yo u wouldn't get a flat tire if you cased a jump, that's what the suspension is for. and shit, i'd like this game to be just like reflex, but with the sim feel of it... but hey, that's not gonna happen
