front wheel collision
I think that when you hit something with your front wheel and it "locks" your steering, it should be based on speed, like I've hit someone at very low speed, and still gotten completely screwed from it, so... That didn't seem very realistic to me. >.<

Jlv,when you hit something with your front tire and your riding slow, the rider just locks up and then you fall on the side. I think more realistic thing would be that the rider could actually use his legs to not fall on the side lol.. Its not that realistic that you cant control your rider,he just locks up.

Re: front wheel collision
You can see here, you can too ride away with someone hitting your front wheel. (no duh) But, If you were to do this in MX Sim, you'd be down.

Re: front wheel collision
I've seen it before. But bad example with the video. If there is a collision, you can't even see it.

Re: front wheel collision
That's a big hit and a good example of exactly what we're not talking about, im thinkin when you barely make contact... i did that in a race, didnt even notice i tapped his rear wheel, and went down cuz of it it pissed me off >.<

Re: front wheel collision
I probably will do that, but I can't say I care that much about keeping you upright after you just ran into someone.Kawasakis wrote:Jlv,when you hit something with your front tire and your riding slow, the rider just locks up and then you fall on the side. Re: front wheel collision
But then how would you pass someone a dirty way, say I come up to a rider in a berm and cut em off by hitting them with the back tire, does that trigger the rider to be still? Or is it only your front tire.

Re: front wheel collision
That's exactly why I'm doing this. With the old code, when someone took out someone else's front wheel, half the time the wrong guy would go down. Those passes work much better now.

Re: front wheel collision
I'm starting to come around to this thing. But there definitely needs to be a threshold speed/force so it doesnt kick in with minor collisions. In my opinion, its making starts even worse now, as it just starts a chain reaction of people falling over.

Re: front wheel collision
Yeah, and the collision of models is weird too,i mean if someone is down and i have to ride next to him my bike still touches it,even tho there isn't any touching. And then i just crash somehow..
Don't know,maybe that's happens just for me.
