Mouse steering

Post by zirikooz »

Hi
Im new to this game/simulator, from my own experience playing with keyboard is really hard, and it takes awhile to get good when using the simulator mode.
so i came up with an idea of mouse steering where you steer left and right and lean backwards/forwards with the mouse

If someone knows the game/simulator LFS Live For Speed then you know you can use the mouse to steer ingame, but ofc that game is a car sim
but i think that steering with the mouse would be good idea for this game too?
or have I forgot something important with the physics and or the controlls of the game?

Not everyone have a controller to use, but i think most or all have a mouse :P

That's how I played MCM back in the day. There is nothing more precise than the mouse and it sucks that it looks like we have to be stuck with mini sticks of the controllers. Does anyone else know of a way to set steer/lean axis to the mouse?

Lets you emulate a game controller, using a huge range of input devices....can even control it with you mic if you want.
If it's still the same as it used to be, you have to install ppjoy drivers which may be an issue on windows 7 as they were unsigned drivers and you had to boot your os in a mode which didn't check for driver signing. Might be a workaround now though if you check the forums.
