Needs help...

I think we should make the races 2-3 laps and see how that works. I went on there for like an hour today and didn't finish one race...I would start one all by myself, then someone would connect, I would restart for them. We would race a lap, I would get a 40 sec lead, and they would either disconnect or restart. Then I had like 5 guys in there, and ALL 4 of them would restart as soon as I got a big lead. I understand having a 40 second lead with someone consistent like me isn't really THAT much fun, but I go on there to race, and finish races, not to restart a million times!!! I raged a little bit, then quit. I would LOVE to be racing on 01 right now, but sadly I can't...

I think the lap reduction would help, but I'm sure we will always have this problem, and the 01 traffic will always be really really low, and we will miss out on a lot of fun racing on the fun custom tracks of MXS...

Another idea would be to enable a no restart policy. I know JLV won't do this on his server, but if you could give us that option on our private servers, that would be awesome. Basically just disable it for anyone except marshalls in our own servers if we choose, and I'll run custom 01 tracks on my server all the time! haha

I know exactly what you mean with the restarts, same thing happened to me this morning on 03, there were at least 6 restarts in which there were only about 4 actual laps completed throughout all of them. I got frustrated and left. Online racing in JLV's servers is something I do quite a bit less than I used to because of instances like this that seem to happen far too often for it to be worth the trouble.

I'll try 3 laps. I can make the restart threshold adjustable too, but I don't think it will solve the problem of people not wanting to finish.

Thanks JLV!

Also a side note, it's funny to me how EVERYONE wants a restart, yet once the final results are in, nobody restarts! haha Seems ass backwards to me! Good thing I'm a Mod, and can force restarts after the races are over haha

Just looking to see if you could bump the laps up in 01. Now that the restart system has been reworked, people can now finish most races without being restarted on.

Only reason I am suggesting this is on some of the shorter tracks, three laps can be barely enough time to get a good race going, especially if you are coming from the back of the pack. Also, when racing on shorter tracks like Sonora, the race normally finishes in under three minutes, which in turn results in racing there some 7 or 8 times.

I was thinking something along the lines of 10 minutes + 1 lap or something.

cant we also not have to race the same track 3 times before getting a new one? theres been times where its been even more than that. idk what the deal is there. but i like variety. 8)

Think it's time based, not how many times a race has been on the track. I'd rather ride the track for a few races than have a new one every restart though.

Dont know if its redone now but, jlv please, can you update the tracklist a little bit? With fortwinston 2012 , the competition tracks etc etc?
If you type: server, listtracks you can see al the tracks. but we are only using a few of them. Can we get the WHOLE circle of it? So you will always ride another track

It would be really nice to have a server that just runs the AMA National rotation. I always feel so let down when I go on 01 and the custom tracks are up. It's not that they aren't good, I just prefer the national tracks to anything else, and want to be able to get in practice on them whenever I want. Is there a chance of getting two MX servers going, one for AMA and then one for anything else worthy? It would be great to do this for SX too, although I don't think I've ever ridden a non JLV SX track that I liked, just not my thing I guess.

Idea...

00 : stock MX tracks
01 : AMA MX tracks
02 : OFFICIAL RACING
03 : AMA SX tracks
04 : non-AMA MX/SX tracks

04 is the goon room.....
I like to go in there with some mates every now and then and fool around. Leave it alone.

Oh, ok...

Btw, 00 and 01 races should be time-based. People tend to leave or try to restart when they see Red bud on 00
