Isn't that identity theft, or at least claim to be someone else? But I guess that varies from where you live as well.

Fictitious characters on the internet are okay, but Im sure false identity is a thing in some states. It's not like it was identity theft or anything, but he was giving false information from another person's name. You can't really take any legal action unless its fraud or something, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort or law against people going by other peoples names/identities.
