New Ban process/ David B'aheu #111

Post by Guggen »

Right now in the stock server .. 19801? this dude who was fast... but now is taking literally everyone out for no reason. now to my point of new ban process. I find it a little ridiculous that you have to save the video file (which i cant, on a mac) i can review the video and take screen shots from it, but uploading the entire race which can take hours, just to show that someone is ruining the game for all others is crazy. By the time I even get the screen shots ready to upload im already over it. But at the same time these people should be either banned correctly or fix the game so they cant take ppl out. Mabye if some one has 2 crashes in a row within 5 seconds.. grey them out so they cant take anyone out for a few minutes. if they get up to 5 within a minute or so grey them out the entire race. Would this be possible?

you don't record a video of the incident but a demo.
In the new game menu, there's an option "record demo: yes/no". When it's set to "yes" the game records every race and saves them as "default.mxdemo" inside the Users/%username%/appdata/mxsimulator/demos folder. Note that it always rewrites that file with every race restart, so if you want to save a particular race, type the command "/namedemo somethingthatisthedemo'sname" into the ingame chat without quote marks. That will save the currently recorded demo as "somethingthatisthedemo'sname.mxdemo" into the demos folder.

He is saying its a hassle. I understand what you mean man. These guys go way out of their way to take you out and it really gets frustrating then you try to ban them and everyone's like you don't have the right stuff. And jlv does nothing about them unless you cut the track.

If the process were any easier ppl would be putting others in the ban court all day everyday. Go play a different game if you don't like it. It is what it is.

Im saying its to much of a process to properly ban the people that need to be banned. Not saying to ban people for no reason like an accidental crash and someone has a short temper who then tries to throw them in ban court, which is what you're implying there. They should just add an option for reporting person in the game and all the correct info is sent to whoever is in charge, which then can be reviewed with the demo or whatever other info that is needed. Just select the player who was involved and click Report or something simple like that.
