Huge FPS drop

so ive been getting this problem lately where im playing and im running around 80-110 fps then it'll drop to about 30-8 fps. ive updated my display drivers and everything, i dont get it its very annoying i just want to play it smooth. i have ran my graphics low and it still does, i even have everything taken out of the folder other than needed things and it runs fine than bam

Why don't you tell everyone what type of hardware you're running, and what driver version you are using with that hardware?

Radeon HD 4250
Driver version: 8.900.7.1000
if thats what you were asking for...and i know the graphics card isnt great but if i keep "needed" things in the folder it runs awesome

Looks like the infamous ATI memory leak. There's plenty of info in this sub forum about it. Just search it and see what you get.

ive been searching but i cant find anything thats helping. does this mean my graphics card is done? if so im never buying a pc with ati again.

A memory leak is a software bug. It was in the ATI drivers around version 9.8, was fixed in 9.12, came back in 10.1 and was fixed again in 10.3. Not sure about the bugs in the ATI drivers before 9.x.
