Computer Build

Post by team canada »

So I'm looking to build a computer and I was wondering if the parts I have chosen will be good enough for MXS and other games.

CPU: AMD FX-4100
Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB
Case: Ultra X-Blaster Mid Tower V2 Case (I looked for a cheap, nice looking one)
Power Supply: Ultra Limited Edition 550W Power Supply
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97
GPU: I haven't found one that seems good for the price. I want a 2GB GPU, so if you guys have any suggestions as to what card I should get, it would be greatly appreciated.
OS: Windows 7
HDD: WD Black 500GB
DVD: Random DVD burner :)

Total(Without GPU): $517.78

I picked out my parts from http://www.tigerdirect.ca/, so if you find a card on there, or have recommendations for any other part, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks, my problem is I don't know if 550w will be able to power all the components.

That's pretty cool. But do you know if it's reliable? It says for my build I'd need a 340w, but to be safe I wanna go at least 100w's bigger. Has anyone ever used this and went really close to what it said and it worked out fine?

The calculator is pretty good, but go the extra 100w just to play it safe.

Do you think a Corsair 430w PSU will work? I've heard Corsair is pretty reliable so I think I can trust that it will last
