MXS questions

In my hunt to find a realistic MX game, I came across Mx Simulator. It looks amazing and seems like much more fun I would ever have on my 360. However, I have a couple concerns.
1st being my computer. Im using a latop. Its an HP pavilion dm4, with the i5 processor, 500gb hdd and 4 gigs of ram I believe. Ive never really been into real computer/pc games nor have I tried them. Do I need a gaming laptop? Will my machine suffice? Or am I better off just finding a game for the xbox? Again, I am new to computer games.
2nd, Is there anything else I would need to play/Purchase this game?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend trying the demo version. There are tracks for the full game that are more demanding than those included in the demo but you'll still be able to have fun if you can run the supercross track in the demo well.

You can get by with that laptop no prob. Just make sure you keep it cool. And buy a XBOX 360 or Playstation controller if you don't have one lying around. Tough and steep learning curve. Best MX game ever made though!

I downloaded the demo. The first track it puts you on, Everything went ok. However when I switch to the supercross track, or have more than 5 bikes in the normal track, it gets very choppy and pretty much unplayable. Im thinking my computer wont handle this game the way I want to play it. Should I try to clean/go through my laptop to get it running efficiently? Or just cut my losses. Id like to at least get the supercross track running efficiently with some other bikes to be able to play on.

Go into the graphics settings and choose "High fps". If that doesn't work try defragging your harddrive. If you have onboard graphics you may be SOL

I changed to high fps. It doesnt skip around now but the track is all red and glitchy, and also less detailed.

You can tweak the advance settings to your liking for optimal detail and performance. If you're really wanting to run the game at high settings you may want to consider building or buying a PC. A laptop that isn't primarily built for gaming will only take you so far.
