if i run shaders direct at 1024x1024, my offset shoots to 17,000 ms. but at 512x512, its at 64 ms. any ideas why?

Bigger number means more to load ever ms which puts more load on your PC and internet. I'd recommend not using that render size online and keep it for screenshots.
