Hey, my brother just recently gave me his old laptop and when i bought the game for my other computer i bought it for windows.. but this laptop has linux so will i have to buy a new download for the game? thanks for reading this.

You probably don't have to buy the game again. Jlv will probably go in his history file and see if you actually bought the game and resend you a link for linux.

You could also use the linux 1.8 update tar file and copy the zzz*.saf files over from windows.
