Graphics Question

Post by MrBajabug65 »

I just bought a GTX 960 hoping I would be able to play max settings on a 40 man gate. Am I stupid, or is this possible? I tried yesterday and my FPS wasn't good at all. I have all the latest drivers from GeForce Experience and all. Am I missing something here? Thanks!

You'd be hard pressed to find any hardware that will run max graphics with a 40 man gate, but the 960 is kinda mid tier anyway.

You are going to be more than capable of running at a nice framerate with relatively high settings, but you're not going to max everything out, especially if you want to have everybody's team packs downloaded and stuff.

I was benchmarking a little yesterday. I have 8GB RAM, i5 4690k, GTX660OC (MSI OC edition).
While streaming yesterday, I got pretty steady 100fps ingame, during the stream. I used these settings:

Note that you must have a CPU that can handle it as well. I had a FX4300 before, and that couldn't have handled all that. So your CPU must be able to handle it as well. Here's one piece of the stream as somewhat of a reference, what my 30fps 720p stream looked like:
