Posting for my own easy reference. Don't mind me.
I've tried:
Raising priority Switching from shaders/direct to shaders/copy hardware/direct to hardware/copy disabling demo recording updating GFX drivers toggling vsync disabling windows update updating windows ensured DMA was enabled Cleaned computer/heatsinks/fans Re-seated all connections on motherboard (RAM, GPU, CPU, SATA Cables) moved MX Sim drive from SATA 2 to SATA 3 port disabled page file ensured enable write caching was enabled

It used to work fine for me, then i got a replacement Hard Drive, re-downloaded Mx Sim and every time i click record demo : yes. it just freezes every 2 seconds.

Used both methods and it didn't affect it at all, still keeps freezing. I can move my mouse and press keys its just the frame that freezes.

I have record demo on because i want to make edits, when its off the game works fine.

Is that under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers? Or disk drives?
