contacting server

Does anyone know how to stop the 'contacting server' error for multiplayer. Every time i click multiplayer it says 'contacting server' i was wandering if anyone who has had this error knows how to fix it......cheeers (:

My guess...

You have the server address entered wrong. Your computer is unable to contact the server. Print screen the multiplayer screen where the address is entered and post it here.

im having the same problem, but only on certain servers, and i know the ip is right, and if i use the server page it still doesnt work

Aha I just fixed this today for me, well it wasnt a fix but it works so I can play online. On the MX sim website just go to servers, where all the recent races were. And beside them there will me a connect to this server button. In blue. And that works everytime for me

for your own server if your computers hosting it have the ip as 127.0.0.1 and unless you open your port you and your friends will need hamachi

I know ita an old post, but when that happens to me i press control alt delete and when it goes back to my desktop theres a security pop up asking me if i want to allow mx sim access or not and i click yes and it works, there you go.

Well maybe you didn't drag and drop the server args into the run server and enter your UID?
