windows 7 vs windows xp
In terms of performance purely for mxs, would windows 7 or windows xp be better?

I'd imagine XP using less RAM would perform better if you're near your computers limits while running MXS. I made the jump from XP to W7, and it gave me no problems.

Oh, I probably should have given my system specs. I have a 2009 mbp: 2.66 ghz core2duo and 4 gb of ram
Did your framerate stay the same after upgrading?

It was way higher. Windows wasn't the only think I upgraded though.
