I just installed mx sim on my new computer with an SSD and HDD combo...I don't think that's the issue but in case it's important, there it is.
Anyway I have all my files saved to my HDD, and I made sure the game ran fine on a few of the 2010 sx tracks. Everything went good so I began downloading the necessary models and skins files. I checked once again to see if everything was going well and I chose another 2010 sx track with the RM125 model and the game loaded for a second and froze and eventually windows gave me it's message saying it will find a solution if it can. Now everytime I try to run a time trial it will act like the track is going to load and suddenly you hear sound blips of an engine stuttering and the same crash occurs.
I've already tried temporarily moving the files out of the mx simulator directory to see if something I downloaded might've caused an error somewhere and ran mx sim with a seemingly stock and fresh install and still crashes to desktop.
Anyone got a sparing hand for this?

Re: Crash to Desktop
Are you using an AMD/ATI graphics card? If so right click the desktop, start up Catalyst control center, hit the gaming tab, and make sure Disable Catalyst AI is checked.

Re: Crash to Desktop
No, I'm using an Nvidia. I've tried completely reinstalling already and so far I keep getting the "mx.exe" error. Can't remember what it said exactly but it just states the error and closes to desktop.
It only happens when I select a track. I can mess around with the menu as much as I want still. I've tried disabling shaders and running in adminstrator, other OS compatabilities etc and I've got nothing left.

Re: Crash to Desktop
Have you tried choosing "Use Compatibility Settings" in the game's graphics menu and then restarting the game?

Re: Crash to Desktop
Yeah, I did try that. I dunno what's different now but since I've been gone at work all I've done is restart my computer once again (not like I haven't already tried that). But now it's working perfect again for now.
I'm not positive but I think I may be having some driver issues or something :/
