FFmpeg Avi Script (please help!)

FFmpeg Avi Script (please help!)
Quick Question, I cant seem to get the avi file from the FFmpeg to open in vagas 11, i tried converting the file into a .mp4 but that didnt seem to work. anything you suggest? and also when you start the game to record the playback race is it suppose to be reallly lagy? -sorry im sorta a noob with avi recording

Make sure you have the required codecs. The encoded does use CPU time so the game might run slower. Since it isn't recording in real time the video will be smooth despite that.

i downloaded many differant codecs and spent hours doing so trying to get it to work and nothing would work so i gave up with that and switched to fraps because vegas actually supports the fraps files. but no im having the problem that the fraps clips are coming out really lagy and i dont know why. you wouldnt happen to know how to fix that would you?

Are you using the huffyuv or libx264 codec when recording?
