starting gate

for some reason im getting a green and purple spot on all of the starting ggates. I have tried to look through and see if anyone included a starting gate file with a track but I cant find any. This just recently happened and ive looked through all of my track folders. What could be causing this?

Ha that looks funny.

Only thing I can suggest is take all of your tracks out and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't then you know a track that has a different start gate isn't the problem, and we can go from there.

Idk y I nvr thought of that myself but anyways I tried taking everything out and it still seems to do it. Should I maybe try reinstalling the whole game maybe?

Look for a file named "startgate.ppm" and delete it.

Ive removed everything from my personal folder, searched my entire computer for startgate.ppm and I found one from houston and deleted it. Still has the same issue. I dont understand, it almost seems to me as tho its not even the game but something wrong with my computer. For some reason I cannot run mxsim as smooth. Im starting to think something is wrong with my graphics card driver or something.

If it was your hardware I'd think it would be more than just the start gates. Did you look in your install folder for the ppm? You can try re-installing the game if you still can't find it.

how can i re-install? my link in my email says the password expired for the download link.

Did a system restore and it was gone. I also redownloaded the game. Thanks JLV. And yz, yes I now have the installer saved on my harddrive
